The ROTARY CLUB OF CHICAGO LAKEVIEW  was chartered September 1, 2005.

Serving the urban neighborhood of Lakeview, the club members are a mix of local business, professional and community leaders who seek to support  and participate in various projects to assist both local and world communities.  Recent projects include:

1.      Collecting and donating used eyeglasses to V.O.S.H, an organization
          that refurbishes them and distributes to  people with limited
          access around the world

2.      Donating toiletries to Mercy Homes for Girls and Deborah's Place
         and cell phones to a local  women's shelter

3.      Volunteering at the Greater Chicago Food Depository

4.      Refurbishing and providing a water source to three schools in Guatemala

5.      Providing disaster preparedness training to schoolchildren in Guatemala

6.      Supporting Lincoln Park Shelter with lunches and food supplies

The Rotary Club of Chicago Lakeview is part of a global network of 1.2 million men and women who are business, professional and community leaders in over 170 countries.
